Over brushing – the facts

It is assumed that by applying more pressure during brushing that this will remove more plaque but this is not the case. Heavy handed brushing actually makes brushing less effective, as well as being potentially damaging to teeth and gums.  

Over brushing causes the gums to recede and can result in permanent exposure of the tooth root. An exposed root can cause sensitivity in the tooth and can also spoil the appearance of otherwise well cared for teeth. In addition, this area is more vulnerable to cavities and gum disease.

How does Click work?

Wisdom Click Gum Protector features a unique pressure control system in the handle that ‘clicks’ back to tell you when you brush too hard.  If you feel the handle ‘click’ back in use, reduce your brushing pressure and the handle will return to its normal position and you can continue to brush safely.
